Caeden O'Neill is a gifted music director, instrumental arranger, and vocal arranger with a specialty in musical theatre and contemporary music. Known for his sharp ear, expressive leadership, and collaborative spirit, Caeden brings performances to life through music — shaping scores, guiding casts, and leading pit ensembles with clarity and heart.
As a music director, Caeden has helmed productions ranging from classic Broadway musicals to fresh contemporary works, seamlessly weaving together vocals, instrumentation, and storytelling. Their approach emphasizes character-driven musicality, genre-oriented ensemble sound, and detailed musicianship, making them a trusted partner for directors and choreographers alike. His work has earned him a Broadway San Diego Musical Theatre Award for his production of Mamma Mia in 2019, where he served as the Assistant Director, Music Director & Pit Orchestra leader. For the past two years, he has served as the music director for the I Can Do That! Performing Arts Center in Danville. He has also music directed for various schools & theatre companies from Southern California through the Central Coast.
In addition to his work as a musical theatre director, Caeden can craft vocal and instrumental arrangements with depth and nuance for any ensemble. Not only can Caeden arrange & compose all kinds of music, he can also do it on the spot. As a musical director for improv comedy, he has created hundreds of fully improvised musical theatre shows in the blink of an eye. Caeden can be found performing with Knockoff Broadway and RiOt musical improv troupes at the All Out Comedy Theater in Oakland, as well as Sonic Boom and We'll Need Your Help With The Chorus at Leela Improv in San Francisco.
